Pocket Change Exchange 2019 – November 28th to Dec 1st

What is Pocket Change Exchange (PCX)? In one word? It’s FUN! November 28th – December 1st, , we bring you 4 nights and 2 days of straight-up social dancing fun, with a focus on great music, fun dancing and friendships. This year is the 9th year of PCX and as always, we are planning to make it the best one yet!!

Details:
Check out all the fun events that will be happening here. Many much fun to be had!

Music:
As always a main focus of PCX is great live music. Check out the bands here.

For the first time we are bringing in an international band to give our dancers a taste of that magic of dancing to a world class band with oodles of experience playing for swing dancers – having played at most of Australia’s biggest swing dance events, we now have the pleasure of bringing Andrew Dickeson’s Blue Rhythm Band to Christchurch to play at Pocket Change Exchange! Alongside the Blue Rhythm Band will be other great local swing bands – the River City Jazzmen, the Kitsch in Synch, and our very own dancer’s band PCX Jammers – darn are we lucky in Christchurch to have some awesome bands in our arsenal!!

Dates:
28th November – 1st December! Dates this year are a little later than normal, specially to tie in with the Kiwi Lindy Exchange and all the keen dancers straight off the bus from a week of dancing, let’s show them what Christchurch and the Swingtown Rebels have to offer!

PCX will start Thursday night the 28th of November, and run through until a Sunday late night (really that means Monday morning!).
