Special upcoming dates:

Also happening this night:
6:30 pm Level 2 intro at St Michael’s School Hall ($15)
For any level 1 dancers looking to move up to Level 2 this is a chance to come and focus on some of the key concepts to really kick your dancing up to that next level.
7:30 pm Shim sham class! at Elim Church, 285 Cashel St.
For everyone at any level who is keen to learn how to do this classic swing dance routine! ($15)

Bal&Blues social and workshops 23rd May

Our regular balboa and blues social happens the fourth Sunday of every month – and there’s chocolate!

Social to be at the Riverside Market She Chocolaterie 7- 9 pm, free entry but do help us support the cafe.
Classes beforehand at St Michael’s – this month on the 23rd March there is:
4- 5 pm  Intermediate Blues
5-6 pm Beginner Balboa
$10 for one or both classes

Other events:

This happens every Thursday night from 6-8 pm on the third floor at Riverside Markets – there’s not much space for dancing up there, but the floor below where the seating area is gets good sounds, plus is free entry and is above all the scrummy food places at the market. If there are a few dancers there then it’s possible to move a table to create some dance space. It’s always great jazz and a chance to support our local musos, but some weeks will be better than others for danceability so keep an eye on our facebook page where we will try share any particular highlights.
The lineup is here.
