What:Mt Pleasant is the Swing Zone tonight, where you can swing out to the wonderful Swing’s Own! We stick around on the east side of town in this beautiful venue and get another gig with our new fave-band-to-be! There’s lots of food options in Ferrymead if you want to just stay out beforehand, but rest up a bit because these guys are going to get you dancing! Where: Mt Pleasant Community Centre, 3 McCormack’s Bay Road, Mt Pleasant. Who:Swing’s Own! This time the quartet becomes a quintet with addition of the saxophonous sounds of Lana Law. When:Sunday 2nd of April, doors open 7:30 pm, WHICH IS WHEN THE BAND KICKS OFF they’re going to be amazing so if you’re keen to make the most of them BE HERE OR BE BEREFT. Please also note we’ll have to evacuate promptly at 10:30 pm so make sure to seek out any people you’ve been wanting to dance with all weekend early. Wear:You can be from the past, or you can be from the future! For the easy options, you could do the classic vintage swing style or raid your own wardrobe for something a bit dated! For the future, your imagination is the limit, but we’ll have some tinfoil and tape on hand if you want to robot it up a bit on the night.
